About me – what you might need to know

What I do – core business.
I am a parish priest in Church of England. I was ordained in 2008, I’m currently the Vicar of St Peter’s Huddersfield. We’re a town centre church with a long history and a civic role, as well as the usual roles of being a community who pray together, worship God together and work out together the things God is calling us to do in their service right here and right now.
Music is really important in the life of our church. We have a range of different services, from the small, quiet and contemplative to the full on packed to the rafters civic services. Our mission aims as a Christ centred community are to be open, warm and welcoming in the heart of the town. You can find out more about St Peter’s here.
Other things I do – cherries on the cake of parish ministry.
I’m also Area Dean of the Huddersfield Deanery, Chair of the House of Clergy in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds, member of the General Synod of the Church of England, Secretary of South Kirklees Interfaith and Belief Forum and member of the team who organise On Fire Mission.

And also….
I’m a pilgrim. I sing songs and write them. I’m a deeply rooted notherner, inclusive cathomatic and European. I’m a daughter, sister, wife, mum, aunty and grandma. I’m an enthusiast – and I really like people.
I love singing and playing piano, walking, sea swimming when I can get there, movies, cooking for people and being cooked for, a good night out or a spontaneous adventure.
